Vegan Multigrain Protein mix
Ingredients:-
1) Green Gram - 100 gms
2) Barley - 50 gms
3) Brown Rice - 50 gms
4) Jowar - 50 gms
5) Moong Dal - 25 gms
6) Foxtail Millets - 50 gms
7) Pepper corns - 2 teaspoons
8) Ajwain (vamu in Telugu or omam in Tamil / Kannada) - 1 tea spoon
9) Sesame seeds - 2-3 tablespoons
Method:-
1) Add ingredients 1 to 7 to a mixer grinder, and grind them coarsely (like rava)
2) To the grounded mixture, add Ajwain and sesame seeds
3) Multigrain rava (Coarse powder) rich in protein and fiber ready to use
How to cook and use:-
1) Soak 1 cup of Multigrain Rava in 3 cups of water for 30 - 45 mins
2) After 45 mins, slow cook to make it into porridge consistency
3) Add few Almonds and Dates as per taste and mix in the porridge and serve hot
Other ways to use this Multigrain Rava:-
This rava can be used to make Kheer with coconut / Almond milk and Jaggery , or can be used to make Kichidi as well
Nutritional facts:-
This rava provides approximately 45 gms of Protein and 35 gms of Dietary Fiber per 100 gms of raw uncooked rava. The combination of Proteins from multiple grains / pulses ensures all the essential amino acids required for the body are available
